100MW/400MWh The Construction of The First All - Vanadium Redox Flow Energy Storage Power Station in Hami Has Been Completed.

The power station, with an installed capacity of 100 megawatts and 400 megawatt-hours, uses a flexible 'charge-discharge' mechanism to store excess photovoltaic power during midday and release it during morning and evening peak times, significantly improving the consumption ratio of new energy sources. As a model of the 'new energy + storage' approach, the power station boasts long cycle life and high safety. Its core value lies in its ability to flexibly regulate power supply, overcoming the limitations of wind and solar power's dependence on weather conditions. This ensures the safe and stable operation of the grid while enhancing the utilization efficiency of new energy sources.

At Hami Shichengzi Photovoltaic Industrial Park, a 100 megawatt/400 megawatt-hour all-vanadium flow battery energy storage power station has been completed. The power station uses a flexible 'charging-discharging' regulation mechanism to store excess photovoltaic power during midday and release it during morning and evening peak hours, significantly improving the consumption ratio of new energy sources.


Hanmi Shichengzi Energy Storage Power Station's station master Kang Liming told reporters that as an exemplary model of the 'new energy + energy storage' approach, the power station has advantages such as long cycle life and high safety. Its core value lies in overcoming the bottleneck of wind and solar power being dependent on weather conditions, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the grid while also improving the utilization efficiency of new energy. 'The power station can store excess electricity and also provide rapid response capabilities, assisting in grid frequency regulation and enhancing power supply reliability, providing experience for subsequent projects,' said Kang Liming.


The first large-scale vanadium redox flow battery energy storage power station project in Hami City is invested and constructed by Hami Dongtianshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. It uses 100 megawatts/400 megawatt-hours of vanadium redox flow battery energy storage equipment, capable of charging 400,000 kilowatts per day and discharging around 270,000 kilowatts. This can reduce the curtailment rate of photovoltaic power stations, enhance the safe operation of the grid, and provide crucial support for the consumption of new energy in Hami and the stable operation of the grid.
